I'm sorry that I've been so overdue in posting one of these.  I guess you could say that life has definitely changed in the Morgan house.  On Tuesday, June 15 at 5:04 pm, my wife gave birth to our son  - Maxwell Thomas Morgan.  We knew that we'd enjoy being parents, but we honestly had no idea how amazing this would be.  He made his first road trip last weekend to Cincinnati and Charlotte (he even made a cameo on stage in Cincinnati) and showed his mother and I that he would be up for more.  In a few hours I'll head to the airport to spend a week away from home, and to be honest with you - it's killing me.  But even in the middle of my sadness, I have peace and a clear purpose.  God has called me to be a Father, but he has also called me to use my music to glorify Him.  If you're in the Minnesota/Wisconsin area, come see me this week.  Stay strong in the Lord and say a little prayer for Murray (my wife) and Max while I'm gone.

God bless,
Trevor

What a whirlwind! This has been an unbelievable couple of months. Sometimes I honestly feel overwhelmed by all of this - but then I realize why I'm doing this in the first place. Not for record sales, or radio, or fame, or the applause of a crowd - but for the glory of God. It's easy to get caught up in those other things. The approval of the world is an attractive and enticing goal, but it will ultimately leave you as unfulfilled as any other earthly pursuit. A passage from 2 Corinthians has been on my mind lately:

2 Corinthians 4:17-18
For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Oh, that I would look beyond the here and now and set my gaze squarely on the eternal glory of our Lord. That is why I do what I do.

God bless,
Trevor

Yesterday I, along with my wife Murray and my buddy Andy Hubbard, flew home from a weekend spent in Great Falls, Montana.  We were there for the annual Youth Evangelism Conference hosted by the Montana Southern Baptist Convention.  It was a great weekend and I look forward to getting back up that direction again sometime soon.  I took a couple pictures of the festivities to share with you guys.  Tomorrow morning, at the crack of dawn, I leave for a week-long promo tour.  I'd better get a few hours sleep in before we hit the road...I promise to check back in soon.

I figured it was probably time to put something on this page other than "coming soon", so here's my first official journal entry (drum roll please):

Thanks for stopping by my site. I realize that right now you could be checking your stocks, mapping the fastest way to Destin, FL, buying a vintage telecaster, or reading the latest Nascar gossip. I really appreciate you spending these moments with me instead. Please take a minute to register on the discussion board and check back often - we plan to update regularly with new features and tour dates. I hope to use this site as a way to keep up with all of you guys that I've known for years as well of all of you that I'm just getting to know. If you have a question - post it. I'll answer it, assuming there is no math involved, as quickly as possible. Thanks for your support of me and the music.
