Move In Me

I'm not feeling anything
My body's numb from my heart down
I need what only you can bring
Cause nothing else can turn me back around
And it's more than I can bear
Turn the pages of my mind
I'm not sure of what you'll find
But I need you to move in me
Shoot your healing through my veins
Strip away the old remains
I need you to move in me
I don't like what I've become
And I don't recognize the man they see
It's gotten easier to run
Than to take a look inside of me
But it's more than I can bear
Turn the pages of my mind
I'm not sure of what you'll find
But I need you to move in me
Shoot your healing through my veins
Strip away the old remains
I need you to move in me
Move in me
Give me peace that passes everything
Give me joy I can't explain
Fill me with a love that never fades
And gently call my name
Turn the pages of my mind
Oh, move in me
Turn the pages of my mind
I'm not sure of what you'll find
But I need you to move in me
Shoot your healing through my veins
Strip away the old remains
I need you to move in me
Move in me

Psalm
30:2
O Lord my God, I called to you for
help and you healed me.
John 14:18
I will not leave
you as orphans; I will come to you.
Hard times can leave us numb. We wonder if
we will ever laugh again, ever feel the rush that comes from
excitement and happiness.
I wrote this song when many around
me seemed to be in the midst of this darkness of sorrow and
despair. I knew that my words would be powerless to heal them,
but hoped that this song would offer encouragement and point
to the true source of healing and peace.
Little did I know
that this song would serve as such a strong reminder to me,
as well. Of all the songs on this project, this one probably
digs the deepest and resonates the longest in my soul.
Shoot your healing through my veins
Strip
away the old remains
I need you to move in me
To me, this is the perfect song to end this album.
